Empowering Your Child to Overcome Barriers and Foster Independence.

What We Do

We support children, adolescents, and young adults in developing skills and strategies to regulate their emotions, enhance executive functioning, and manage common mental health challenges, such as anxiety and depression. Our aim is to help them overcome barriers to social-emotional health and wellbeing, empowering them to thrive in all aspects of their lives.

What People Are Saying…

  • About Phil

“Phil has this genuine ability to connect and gain trust with high school teenagers and college-age young adults. In our case, particularly, with boys. Our son struggled with executive function skills, self confidence and handling stress/anxiety relating to school. At times when we would try and discuss these challenges with our son, he would shut down and not speak with us. Phil works with our son and gets him to not only open up, but helps him self-reflect, learn and push through any current challenges. We as parents are so grateful for Phil’s relationship and guidance working with our son. There is a comfort level and trust in working with Phil (he is part of the family now!). We are working together to help raise our children to be happy, healthy, responsible and emotionally whole. If you are interested in 1) improving your relationship with your teen/young adult and 2) helping guide your young adult to improve their emotional literacy, we highly recommend Phil.”

  • About Caleigh

“We have been with Caleigh since the day she opened her practice. My daughter was always "anti-therapy;" however, after a traumatic event and experiences of bullying, she reluctantly agreed. It only took two weeks for her to drop the debate about "needing therapy." Now, she is comfortable and talks openly to Caleigh. When she was still attending her previous school, there were multiple times Caleigh helped advocate for what she needed. Caleigh has been a phone call away when we have hit bigger bumps and needed to touch base – both with me as well as my daughter. We have jumped into a last-minute telehealth if sick or an unexpected session was needed. Caleigh is amazingly flexible and supportive. She has played an integral role in helping get things back on track. I can't say enough positive things about our experience.”

  • About Phil

“In my role as a lead administrator in a school for students with learning disabilities, I worked with Phil for a few years. Not only can I attest to the excellence of care he provided our students, I was also deeply impressed by the collaborative approach he took to his work. Phil's treatment of a student did not stop when that student left his office. In many ways, that's when his work started. He collaborated with outside providers, tutors, families, and teachers. Phil knows that whatever social emotional needs a child has will affect them at home, at school, in the gym, and with peers. Phil's 360 degree perspective provided the students he worked with a team approach where communication and partnership were as important as his direct service. I found at the time, and still do, that this approach is all too rare. This makes Phil an exceptional resource for the children and families he works with.”

  • About Phil

“I believe that every parent will go to great lengths to seek out the best care for their child. My son was in a place where no one was able to get through to him. I had tried almost every avenue to insure my child’s happiness, as well as, to make sure he was in a healthy place emotionally. It was truly a very trying time to not have the ability to help my son. Until I found Phil Newman! I very rarely write reviews but I feel I needed to share this rare gem of a guy. Not only does he reach kids on their level but he goes above and beyond to care about your kid. I am in no way exaggerating. I exhaled for the first time in years after our first session. I don’t think I would have survived this time without him treating my son. I can’t say enough about his genuine, kind and caring nature. Be prepared for some corny jokes thrown in. It is not everyday that you can discover someone who connects with your child and develop a rapport that builds trust immediately. I highly recommend Phil for his overall skill level but mostly for his passion to want to reach kids and help.”
